A Botanical bathroom with bespoke planter

The Requirement
The client was looking for something different, a relaxing haven that was to include both a bath and a shower cobicle. A Botanical theme was selected as it reflected the rural location of the property.
" We need a large shower cubicle and a bath however we are looking for something different and want the room to feel relaxing and unique."
Our Solution
This beautifully styled bathroom installation is a perfect example of how thoughtful design and craftsmanship can transform an everyday space into a calm, luxurious retreat. Inspired by nature, the scheme combines botanical textures, soft colour palettes, and bespoke joinery to create a bathroom that feels both contemporary and relaxing. At the heart of the design is a custom-built planter unit that not only brings greenery into the room, but also cleverly conceals the WC cistern—proving that practical features can be seamlessly integrated into elegant interiors. A Statement Botanical Feature Wall One of the most striking elements of this bathroom is the patterned hexagonal tile splashback. Featuring soft green foliage and subtle floral tones, the tiles create a natural focal point around the basin and bath. Their organic design contrasts beautifully with the clean lines of the sanitaryware, adding visual interest without overpowering the space. This botanical feature helps connect the interior with the outdoors, reinforcing the calm, spa-like atmosphere. Bespoke Planter with Hidden Functionality A standout feature of this project is the bespoke wooden planter unit positioned behind the WC. Designed and built specifically for this space, it serves multiple purposes: Conceals the toilet cistern Provides practical storage Creates a dedicated home for plants Adds warmth through natural wood finishes By integrating planting and storage into one tailored unit, the bathroom gains both character and efficiency. The lush greenery softens the room while enhancing airiness and comfort. Soft Colour Palette and Contemporary Fixtures The blush-toned vanity unit brings warmth and personality to the space, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional white or grey cabinetry. Paired with a sleek chrome tap and crisp white basin, it maintains a modern, balanced look. Above, the circular mirror introduces a softer visual shape, complementing the organic tile patterns and reinforcing the natural design theme. Bath and Shower for Everyday Comfort This bathroom has been designed to suit both busy routines and moments of relaxation. A spacious bath sits beneath the window, framed by botanical tiling and natural light—perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Alongside it, a contemporary shower enclosure with wood-effect wall panels provides durability and ease of maintenance, while maintaining visual warmth and continuity with the rest of the design. Clever Storage and Space Planning Every element of this installation has been carefully considered to maximise usability: Integrated shelving within the planter Vanity storage for everyday essentials Discreet baskets for toiletries Open surfaces for styling and décor This approach keeps the bathroom organised and clutter-free, allowing the design features to shine. Bringing Nature Indoors Live plants play a central role in this project, reinforcing the botanical theme and enhancing wellbeing. Positioned within the bespoke planter and across shelving, they introduce texture, colour, and freshness—turning the bathroom into a living, breathing space. Combined with neutral flooring and soft wall colours, the result is a room that feels light, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish. A Bathroom Designed to Last From high-quality fittings to custom joinery and precise installation, this project reflects a commitment to long-term performance and timeless design. Every detail has been selected to ensure durability, comfort, and enduring appeal. The bespoke planter and concealed cistern solution, in particular, demonstrate how tailored design can elevate both aesthetics and practicality.
